October Dry Port (ODP)

We were honoured by the visit of Lieutenant General Engineer / Kamel Al-Wazir – Minister of Transport to October Dry Port on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. During the tour, his excellency expressed the importance of the project as the first dry port in Egypt that aims to achieve several economic, developmental, and environmental targets, including the development of logistical areas in industrial complexes, and the provision of direct and indirect job opportunities in the logistics sector in order to achieve the necessary efficiency, in addition to reducing the number of containers in ports, in addition to accelerating the work cycle of supply chains for exports and imports. We were honoured by the presence of Mr. Major General Amr Ismail, Head of the Land and Dry Ports Authority, Mr. Major General Essam Al-Najjar, Head of The General Organisation for Export and Import Control, Mr. Shahat Ghaturi, Head of the Customs Authority, and leaders of the Land and Dry Ports Authority, the Customs Authority, and the Ministry of Interior.   ODP is proud that we are the first dry port in Egypt under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport, and we are honoured to contribute together to improve the future of the port sector in Egypt

 GIZ Egypt 

In addition to implementing urban development projects and improving infrastructure services within the Greater Cairo Region, GIZ Egypt through the Participatory Infrastructure Project (PIP) works to build the capacities of #people and #humanresources. PIP implemented a series of #capacitybuilding trainings for local development partners on the Safe Handling of Asbestos Pipes, Health and Safety Measures on Site, and Operations and Maintenance Plans. The trainings aim to ensure that the activities implemented are #sustainable long after the project ends.
